Our client is seeking an experience Data Architect to join their IT Team. The team is responsible for analysing system requirements and implement migration methods for existing data.
The role:
- Play a key role in developing database solutions to ensure company information is stored effectively and securely.
- Communicate with different stakeholders to assess needs and goals
- Work with the other architects in the program and application SMEs to understand the data requirements fully
- Review the data factory deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and traceability to requirements and adherence to all governance and standards
- Work with risk and security architect to identify the access control and identity requirements for the data migration applications
- Database management system software, especially Microsoft SQL Server
- Ability to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
- Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to target systems
- Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests and troubleshooting (Mostly on the data storage)
- Educate staff members through training and individual support
- Offer support by responding to problems in a timely manner
The candidate:
- Experienced Architect or Designer
- familiar with understanding data classification, data security and data migration techniques.
- Data migration and/or ETL projects
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL server, Transact SQL
It would also be ideal to have experience in:
- Insurance industry (Preferred but not essential - knowledge of ok)
- Confluence
- Power shell - Windows
- Encryption - GPG
- Writing documents like, Requirements and SOAP
- Proficiency in MS Excel
