Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Data Analyst to develop a costing model for a policy proposal.
This is a contract role until for 3 - 6 months with possible extension options, located at our Client's Canberra City location.
We're looking for an APS 6 Analyst that is good at working with numbers. The role involves interpreting existing data, as well as developing funding models. The ideal candidate will be confident identifying relevant data from large data sets, analysing it and presenting it in a way that helps people to see the whole story. The same analytical skill will help build funding models that demonstrate the financial impact of an activity or overlapping activities.
In the role you could be asked to analyse the use of medicines in public hospitals, or develop a model to understand the financial impact for potential changes to health insurance.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in:
- Using MS Excel at an advanced level
- Creating visualisations using Qlik (or Excel)
- Presenting data (in writing and verbally) to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Modelling outcomes
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently have the ability to obtain Federal Government Security Clearances.
