- DB2 Database Administrator

- Enterprise environment in Sydney CBD
A large Australian company based in Sydney's CBD is seeking a Senior DB2 DBA. You will be providing expert DB2 DBA services to develop, implement, manage, operate and support high availability systems. A deep understanding of DB2 is required to assist a team of to modernise and automate database processes. Good team working abilities and excellent communication is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and Support Database technologies to best practise standards
- Plan and implement strategies on Db2 Platforms
- Troubleshoot when issues arise
- Implement Improvements and enhancements to Database solutions in the environment
- Monitor the applications and workload managed and supported by the team
- Maintain operational focus to support all SLAs
- On call and Out of hours work may be required at times
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of Database technologies, Database system design, SQL, writing and review
- Information technology experience in a large commercial organisation with multi-platform architecture
- Recent experience in DB2 Database technology
- Cloud Experience desirable
- Technical troubleshooting
- Knowledge in Scripting
