Our Client:

Our client has a dominant presence within the New South Wales Government, they are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Senior Consultant to join on an Initial 6 Month Contract.

The Senior Cybersecurity Practitioner is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Cybersecurity advice and services resulting in the safe and secure implementation of ICT projects across the organisation.

About the role

You would be involved in:

  • Balance compliance and cyber risks against efficient service delivery by analysing the ICT needs for usability, performance, security, privacy and safety to ensure solutions are pragmatic and meet or exceed minimal cybersecurity standards.
  • Liaise with clients and vendors to ensure appropriate expectations and deadlines are met through the provision of cybersecurity advice as a trusted advisor 'and as a service' through sharing expertise in risk identification, assessment, trends and treatment and the appropriate allocation of resources in a timely manner.
  • Adopt and maintain effective operational methods, procedures and tools and embrace innovation to allow for improvements to ensure compliance is achieved in meeting the organisations certifications and policies.
  • Collaborate and work within a team of cyber security experts to ensure the assessment, allocation, progress, continued professional development and documentation is efficiently run, to both protect and harden the organisation's ICT systems.

To be successful for the role, you would ideally:

  • Have extensive experience working with ISO27001
  • Have the ability to assess and manage risks
  • Have consultancy experience in cybersecurity
  • The ability to develop procedures and policies according to organisational standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management
