Senior Cyber Incident Responder

Our client, an iconic Australian brand is seeking a Senior Cyber Incident Responder & Threat Intel Manager to act as a first point of escalation to the vendor resources within the Group Cyber Security Centre. The role is a new position and the right candidate must be able to work autonomously and be an expert in the field of advanced security event analysis and incident handling.
The role:
Perform high-level security system analysis including proactive policy evaluation and tuning
Lead the execution of research and resolution of complex and/or escalations issues, including technical troubleshooting calls
Manage complex changes and vendor interaction
Generate internal and/or external security documentation, including policies and procedures, training documents, playbooks and operations manuals
Lead outsourced vendors and Qantas senior management on service improvement initiatives
Manage more junior staff encompassing supervision of staff, escalation management, and performance appraisal contributions
Perform Advanced Malware analysis
Proactive threat hunting, as well as passive threat analysis and incident investigation
The candidate:
Industry certification desirable (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM, CREST)
SANS or other Security certifications, such as GCIA, GCIH, GREM, GPEN, CEH
Possesses 3+ years of experience in Information Security and Cyber Security
Knowledge and expertise in risk modelling, incident detection, log analysis, and security consulting and assessment
SIEM, SEM, and log monitoring and analytics experience
Expert communication skills and ability to engage at both technical and executive levels and collaborate with staff, management and non C-level executives effectively
