About the Role
As Compliance Officer you will provide support and advice in the design, development, implementation and monitoring of compliance regimes that assist division to assure quality of training services, and ensure alignment of services to all legal, regulatory, industry and government requirements.

As Compliance Officer you will be involved in advising and supporting a complex range of stakeholders including external regulatory and other bodies/agencies to coordinate external audit and investigations and respond to reports requiring follow up and corrective action, and maintaining compliance documentation for the Registered Training Organisation (RTO)

  • Provide clear guidance and expert advice on compliance requirements (eg legislative, funding, accreditation schemes, RTO etc)
  • Develop and implement compliance plans and strategies
  • monitor and report on compliance
  • Plan and conduct quality assurance and audit activities
  • Ensure compliance is maintained and continuous improvement actions are implemented
  • Implement key compliance targets or measures
  • Provide regular and timely information and advice to management
  • Establish and maintain effective two way communication with stakeholders


  • Previous experience as a Compliance Officer
  • Experienced across compliance requirements ie. legislative, funding, accreditation schemes, RTO etc
  • Sound knowledge of NSW Smart & Skilled Contract and Operating Procedures
  • Current experience in lodging Smart and Skilled claims
  • Sound knowledge of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015
  • Experience in quality and compliance checks of Student Records for Certificate issuance
  • Knowledge in the use of Student Management systems.
  • Continue the culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Keeping abreast of current and emerging best human resource practice, government policy, statutory requirements, Vocational Education and Training (VET) practice
