The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
- Developing and implementing cloud designs;
- Developing and implementing policies for the use of cloud services;
- Managing requests for new technology;
- Establishing secure cloud environments;
- Troubleshooting cloud related issues;
- Ensuring appropriate availability of services;
- Working across a broad range of Cloud related environments, platforms and disciplines in areas such as:
- Cloud platforms - IaaS, PaaS, SaaS;
- Cloud environments - Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
- Operating systems - Windows Server, Linux ;
- Cloud security and cybersecurity;
- Cloud network management;
- Management of integrated cloud and hybrid environments;
- Capture and analysis of cloud resources and cost metrics;
- Migration of applications and data to Cloud;
- Scripting languages such as PowerShell;
- Programing languages such as Java, Java Script or Python;
- Cloud database administration.
Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department's recordkeeping policy and practices.
The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:
- High Level Solution Designs;
- Standard Operating Procedures;
- Security Impact Assessments;
- Technical Security Designs.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Developing and implementing cloud designs;
- Developing and implementing policies for the use of cloud services;
- Establishing secure cloud environments;
- Troubleshooting cloud related issues;
- Cloud security and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated experience working across a broad range of Cloud related environments, platforms and disciplines in areas such as:
- Cloud platforms - IaaS, PaaS, SaaS;
- Cloud environments - Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Migrating applications and data to Cloud;
- Hadoop and associated technologies including HDFS, Hive, HBase, Pig, Spark, Sqoop, etc;
- Open Source technologies such as Docker, Grafana, NiFi and Solr;
- Programing languages such as Java, Java Script or Python.
- Demonstrate good working knowledge in:
- Operating systems - Windows Server, Linux ;
- Cloud network management;
- Management of integrated cloud and hybrid environments;
- ETL
- SQL
- Linux, including use and basic administration
- Relational Database technologies including DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Teradata, etc
- Possess good problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose problems and weaknesses in existing solutions.
