Primary Focus

The primary focus for this role is to support the program's Business Testing function through the planning of UAT & BVT test scenarios centred around business processes and business requirements. Role will also provide support to the business for UAT/BVT planning, scheduling and execution, as well as support with defect analysis. Some execution is also required in this role. Critical focus for the role is to provide feedback on the quality of the processes and systems under test, and how 'fit-for-purpose' they are for the needs of the business. This will provide key program stakeholders and business teams confidence that delivered changes will produce the expected outcomes and will not adversely impact business operation.

This role will seek to:

  • Verify that the system and process under test performs business functions per the business requirements
  • Verify that the system and process under test is useable from a member or operational user perspective
  • Verify that the system and process under test meets regulatory or legal requirements
  • Verify that the system and process under test is ready to transition to production

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Experienced with working with project teams, technology teams, third party vendors or partners
  • Practical experience across the end-to-end testing life cycle, including and not limited to testing strategy, testing governance, test planning, test scheduling, test execution, defect management, progress reporting and test completion reporting for various testing phases whilst adhering to and complying with the Enterprise Testing Framework
  • Comprehensive understanding of testing methodologies, both waterfall and agile, standard testing deliverables and their role within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Practical experience of risk-based test scope management across multiple workstreams of different business functions, technology platforms and level of complexity (of business and/or system changes)
  • Practical experience in creating and maintaining testing requirements traceability for reporting
  • Proven experience applying testing processes and terminology to practical scenarios
  • An experienced user of Spiratest, JIRA & Zephyr, or other similar testing tools desired
