Our Client:
Our client is a dominant presence within the Wholesale and Retail industry and they are currently in the market for a Business Intelligence SQL Programmer for an initial 12 month contract. In this role, you would be involved managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server agent nightly jobs and associated SSIS ETL processes
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Ensure nightly jobs and associated processes and systems are functioning appropriately
- Respond to issues as raised by IT team members or Business users
- Provide support to team members and the business when the opportunity arises or when assigned to you.
- Keep your manager informed of the status of tasks assigned to you, plus any potential risks and issues.
- Support knowledge sharing amongst the team
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) for Visual Studio are mandatory
- Experience in Wholesale / Retail / distribution business favourable
- Commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Strong Analytical/Problem Solving skills
