Our Client:
Our client is a large supermarket chain, they are currently looking for multiple Insights analysts to work within their large team for initially 6 months.
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Engaging with key stakeholders to understand business needs and proactively drive next generation of data integration for reporting & insights use
- Create and maintain data pipeline architecture meeting business functional needs
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Python & SQL
- Work with IT, data, and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Advanced working knowledge of SQL, relational databases and basic knowledge of Python are required
- Building and optimising 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets
- Performing root cause analysis and validation of data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
- A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration - be able to communicate with IT, business and finance teams
- Experience in the retail industry is preferred
- Experience in agile project delivery is a plus
