Lead the analysis and implementation of sound, effective, reliable and easy to use IT applications and business processes from a business (rather than technical) perspective.

This role is a key liaison point between the finance area and IT.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

· Develops an in-depth understanding of current & proposed business processes.

· Provides sound & practical advice to the business to introduce efficiencies through the implementation of systems and / or streamlined business processes.

· Works collaboratively with business and IT team members to deliver practical systems solutions that meet agreed business objectives.

· Project Management - Ensures smooth introduction of new systems / enhancements.

· Co-ordinates activities across multiple parties (internal & external).

· Facilitates workshops and delivers training when required.

· Provides ongoing advice and support to the business in the use & exploitation of Independent Hardware Group IT systems.

· Meets commitments in terms of timeframes and quality.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

· Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation & support of complex enterprise IT systems and digital commerce channels.

· At least 5-year experience in a high volume consumer goods business - ideally wholesale or retail.

· Well-developed written & verbal communication skills.

· Has provided effective support of live systems (could have been on a part time basis) and can show examples of successfully diagnosing complex problems and implementing solutions to address them.

· Demonstrated experience in being the key conduit between the business and IT on a significant change initiative.

· Demonstrated experience in formulating and delivering end user documentation / training.

· Technical skills in systems development (e.g. writing SQL statements) - desirable but not mandatory.
