Our Federal Government Client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BI/ETL and Data Analytics Specialist for a contract opportunity starting ASAP and going through until June 2019. This opportunity is working from our Client's Canberra CBD offices and requires a Baseline clearance (minimum) to apply.
Within this role you will be responsible for:
- Management of day-to-day operations, maintenance and modernisation of existing BI and Analytics solutions within the agency
- Supporting a team of data specialists, ETL specialists, and report and dashboard designers to deliver effective and efficient BI and Analytics capabilities
- Undertaking quality assurance on the work undertaken by the team and monitor and ensure adherence to high quality standards
- Undertaking compliance assessments of code, designs and/or solutions
- Developing and actively managing key internal and external relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Detailed knowledge of and experience in developing BI and Analytics solutions.
- Expert level proficiency in data analysis, data modelling and data visualisation including ETL and dashboard development as well as in technical data management.
- Demonstrated experience using the Microsoft SQL Server environment including SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft .NET
- Proven conceptual and analytical abilities with sound knowledge of BI and Analytics practices and techniques to enable innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff while developing capabilities, encouraging career development and embedding professionalism.
- Demonstrated experience working in an agile environment.
