Our high-profile Federal Government Client is seeking the services of an experienced and proficient Specialist Application Developer for a long-term contract role. This is an initial 12-month engagement, with long-term extension options and is working from our Client's offices in the Parliamentary Triangle.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently hold or are able to obtain an AGSVA NV2 clearance to apply.
Within this role, your objective will be to extend our Client's existing analytics platform, extending APIs and building on an established framework, to deliver a high-end data analytics capability. To do this you will utilise a combination of Elastic Search/Lucene, Java APIs, JavaScript and Python machine learning and geospatial mapping.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Java API development and Python
- Experience/knowledge of Elasticsearch/Lucene programming and maintenance
- Understanding of planning, prioritising and managing workloads in an Agile development environment
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Software Engineering or Computer Science
