Analyst Programmer required to work within a small team, who will undertake various support and operations activities for key systems. The primary focus will be production support and maintenance of the systems and which involves trouble shooting production issues, triaging of incidents and work orders and liaising with customer, vendors and other functional teams such as integration and database teams. This role will also require identifying and improve operational efficiencies such as process improvements and performance tuning.


Within this role you will be responsible for:

  • Provide system support development and support functions across a variety of systems, working with users to understand detailed requirements, especially the more complex system requirements.
  • Assisting users with solving day to day system issues.
  • Provide estimates for development and project work and completing assignments within agreed timeframes.
  • Design, code, test, modify and install programs for a variety of applications (including desktop applications).
  • Develop and maintain process, system and functional documentation
  • Collaborates effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across Energy Queensland Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.

  • Compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and practices


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience with:
    • SQUIZ Matrix CMS
    • Open source CMS
    • SQUIZ Matrix forms development
    • CSS3/HTML5/JavaScript
    • UI/UX, Responsive Designs, WCAG2+
    • Building and consuming REST
    • JQuery, Bootstrap or similar JS frameworks
    • Web user interface design and programming, including industry standard UI frameworks/libraries
  • Demonstrated experience in using source control systems such as Subversion, GIT and DevOps
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Systems Analysis, Programming Techniques and Software Quality Assurance
  • Interacts with all levels of staff while analysing, designing and implementing new or revised software applications


And it would be beneficial if you had the following experience:

  • Windows Server and IIS administration
  • Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of any ITSM systems, and SharePoint Online
  • Hands on experience in using JIRA, HP Quality Centre.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager
