About the role
The role is ideally suited to someone who has:
- Extensive experience and knowledge of AWS (AWS Cloud Specialist)
- Experience in AWS Cloud Transformations including design, best practice, risk mitigation, security and deployment
- Experience in leading Business Leaders and multi discipline technical teams through Cloud Transformation exercises focused on AWS as the Platform of expertise
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills that can be tailored to a variety of stakeholders including executive management and technical subject matter experts
Responsibilities
Duties of the position will include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate an exceptional working relationship within the team and its internal clients
- Actively participate in key meetings and architecture and project planning sessions
- Provide strategic and tactical guidance, expertise on ICT directions and support to Senior Managers as well as process and system owners
- Provide thought leadership in ICT directions, vendor/s and/or strategic partners
- Ensure ongoing review and updating of architectures to cater for changes in business and IT strategies
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated strong* knowledge of AWS Cloud native characteristics and how architectures can be delivered in accordance with technical challenges and best practices
- Demonstrated strong* experience in providing architectural and process direction for the end-to-end implementation of Cloud Services into large organisations with a detailed understanding and consideration of ongoing management challenges
- Proven strong* experience working as a team to define, establish and deliver an end to end Cloud Transformation within a large organisation
- Ability to elicit business and architectural information from others and document it as part of solution designs
- Experience delivering projects within a Government Owned Corporation (GOC)
- Cloud Services Management qualification/s and or TOGAF certification
We would entertain people working remotely form other States in Australia, however once borders are open and we are able to move around more freely, we would like the candidate to be available on site in Brisbane for at least 1 week per month. This will be at their own expense.
