Our Client:
We have partnered with a Large software consultancy to source for 5 Data Science Professionals and 3 Machine Learning engineers to work onsite for their end client that is renowned within the Mining industry. These opportunities are all initial 6-month engagements with the likelihood of extension.
Each position available is vital for the successful establishment of their Data team here in Australia
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Perform requirements analysis of assigned projects to ensure correct mapping of requirements to solution design
- Perform data science solution development including:
- Build data processing pipelines,
- Performing exploratory data analysis,
- Performing statistical data modeling,
- Building descriptive/predictive/prescriptive models,
- Performing experimentation with testing & validation,
- Performing model optimization,
- Implement visualization dashboards
- Deliver high quality solutions to meet project requirements using state-of-the-art DA/DS/ML/AI techniques
- Implement solution using agile sprints
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver projects
- Implement appropriate visualization artefacts to demonstrate solution performance for project stakeholders
- Communicate project outcomes with project stakeholders through presentations & reports
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Hands on experience in ML/AI/analytics implementation
- Industry Analytics/ML/AI project delivery experience using Agile methods
- Experience developing analytics-based solutions for 'industrial operations' problems including but not limited to condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, process modelling, and reliability will be a plus
- Knowledge &/or experience of doing Data Science work related to mining will be a plus
- Working directly with business stakeholders, data engineers, solutions architects and product managers in creating robust solutions.
- Current knowledge about ML algorithms, libraries and frameworks (evidence via coding test)
- Effective verbal and written communication
