About the role
The Tester will conduct various phases of testing from function, integration and end to end testing of the ingestion, storage and consumption patterns using Azure/AWS cloud native technologies and some third-party products, that adhere to client security and policy frameworks. Services developed must integrate with multiple existing applications hosted on a range of premise and cloud technologies.
- Must be able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance. (Australian Citizen)
Responsibilities
- Prepare, create, maintain, execute and review test requirements and scripts, derived from design analysis and liaise with design, for AWS/Azure cloud native technologies that has the ability to integrate with Cloud and Premise applications
- Raise defects, gathering information for defect entries and identifying points of failure and organising resources in the investigation of issue
- Contribute to and review testing artefacts, including strategies, plans, risk assessments, test specifications and/or status reports
- Develop, document, monitor and improve testing processes and procedures and promote testing best practice
- Work collaboratively to identify, validate and implement test improvement strategies and change initiatives to contribute to the delivery of program outcomes
- Apply project management principles in the development and delivery of testing objectives and outcomes
- Develop test documentation that clearly articulates the intent, user experience, systems and business processes, issues and risks being tested
- Contribute to shakedown of test environments and process test data to test wide range of scenarios
- Collaborate with the Test/Environment/Developer teams to develop the automated test scripts
Skills and experience
- Knowledge or experience in working with Azure/AWS cloud native services as well as big data/analytics platforms (preferably Teradata Data Warehouse and/or Cloudera Hadoop),
- Proficiency in Agile project delivery methodology is required.
