Sales Manager
To support the Operational Team Leader and manage a phone based sales team with an overall objective of generating revenue and delivering great sales.
Leading a team of 3 sales consultants you will be responsible for the following:
- Sales Performance monitoring and management
- Assist the Operational Team Leader with forecasting
- Formulate sales team plans to achieve sales targets and to unsure team members meet their performance objectives
- Monitor performance to budget progress
- Monitor KPI performance
- Conduct weekly Work In Progress meetings (WIPs) with team members
- Provide regular feedback to individuals and the team on their performance
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the performance of individuals and the team and implement relevant strategies
- Communicate regularly and in a structured way with the Operational Team Leader on the performance of the individuals and the team
- Identify under performing team members and develop and implement appropriate performance management strategies in response
- Monitor and manage absenteeism issues
- Conduct monthly performance reviews and annual Synergy reviews with each team member
- Generate performance reports (where required)
- Analyse and interpret key reports on individual and team performance
The successful candidate will have:
- 2-3 years previous experience in team management / supervision skills in a sales environment
- Demonstrated strong leadership qualities
- Demonstrated strong sales skills with evidence of sales success
- Sales forecasting experience/participation
- "Can do" attitude - enthusiastic, inspirational and energetic attributes
- Demonstrated team building skills with the ability to manage change effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with competence in training and coaching staff
- Ability to apply a structured thought process and compliance with company procedures and systems
