Thursday the 28th of July saw the arrival of Andrew, James, Amba, Katelyn, Vanessa, Gavin, Ann & Tim ‘Money’ Brimmer.

After a brief hand over from Gerard (Butler), Luke & Stephanie the new crew (known as the P-Unit) saw a prime opportunity to get a few pints in, and so we did, at the Fiddlers Green – Ann and James where right at home like!

What a pleasant surprise Pine Creek turned out to be! The Lazy Lizard caravan park not only has a swimming pool to cool off in, but also a Lazy Lizard bar with beautifully chilled beers to help cool the insides.

What better place to celebrate Cadel Evans’ victory in the Tour de France than at his birthplace - Katherine, and with six inspirational cyclists.

Luke from the Perth office here! We arrived in Darwin and met up at the hotel.  It was a nice surprise how hot and sunny it was so after a quick walk around town we got the taste for cider so went for a drink.

We then headed to the wharf for a nice dinner, Gerard was served half a cow and got the meat sweats!!  Although the bar scene in Darwin looked awesome we made the sensible choice and went to bed!

Signing on for leg no.7 is Prue Agar, Helen Anderson and Rochelle Taylor.

Day 1 had us all arriving at Alice Springs.  However, getting there was an interesting adventure in itself.  Rochelle left Sydney on one of the worst weather days that Sydney has experienced in a very long time.
