Day 2 - Bex and Lisa in Sarina…
Nice and early start this am at 4:45 hrs for me whilst bex is still sleeping …
Well I couldn’t sleep once Peter got up at that time so I got up and had a nice, hot shower being the “princess” I am and then helped around the camp whilst the cyclists were preparing to embark on their daily journey. I made coffees, provided them with powerade and water and also did the washing up.Once bex woke up and all the cyclists left we three proceeded to clear the tents and pull them down…
Well it’s now 7:06hrs and we are way ahead of schedule. Pretty good considering that we didn’t have to get up until 6:30hrs. Bex and I are now sitting around with Tara and Peter just having breakky and a cuppa and just planning our routes and shopping trips for today.
Hopefully I wasn’t too loud around the campsite (although peeps kept telling me in the nicest way to keep my voice down… oops….) in the wee hours today but getting up early, having a shower and helping to get ahead of time was great whilst watching the sun rise… the kookaburras sounded and lizards were crawling up the winnebagos … I said hello, gave them a tickle and moved on….
Well I better go as we’ll be setting off soon for what really is our first day and my coffee is getting cold…
later ya’ll…
